Moscow

I flew out to Moscow on Sunday for work.  Went to train all the sales people on all our systems so was there til yesterday, Friday.  I was very lucky to stay in a beautiful hotel, the Baltschug Kempinski and I could walk over the bridge into the Red Square when I had a bit of spare time.  The whole area was simply spectacular!  I was extremely lucky that the 5 days I was there the weather was amazing, blue sky, sunny and warm!  I took so many photos that I am still processing them so will do separate posts as I go along.
First set are photos taken with Hipstamatic – the Dali Lens and DreamCanvas Film – love love the results, especially on buildings!

All above are photos of St Basil’s Cathedral which is breathtaking!  Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to go inside the cathedral but if ever I go back to Moscow I will.  All photos are straight out of my iPhone4 so I have not done any processing to them.  The Dali does not show the amazing colours of the Cathedral, but the effects are so cool!
There is a beautiful building on one side of the Red Square – again all photos taken with Hipstamatic – some with Dali and the others with Watts.

Sidetracked!!

Lynne’s fault!  We were skyping yesterday and I was showing her some of the apps on my iPad and how to use them!  I tried out one of my hipstamatic photos and really liked the results!  So have been working on some of my photos with this style!  Most of the photos are of Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the London Eye and one from Windsor Castle.

Been a Tourist

My friend Janice arrived last Friday so we had an incredibly hectic weekend being tourists!  On Saturday we went to Windsor Castle then hurried back by train to Richmond, got in the car and drove to Hampton Court Palace.  Sunday we tackled Buckingham Palace (which was amazing), the Tower of London and caught the boat back to Westminster Pier.  Spent some time walking around the Houses of Parliament and caught tube back to Richmond.  We were knackered!  But weather was HOT for the UK, and DRY!  Just perfect!
I was showing Janice how iphoneography apps work so played around with this photo which I originally took with ProHDR.  Processed it with Snapseed and then with VintageScene.

As you all know I love my Hipstamatic App – especially the Dali and Watts lenses paired up with the DreamCanvas film!  Here are a few of my favourite ones :

By the River

Always lots of lovely photo opportunities when I walk or cycle to Richmond.  These houseboats were shot with Hipstamatic.  I did do a bit more processing with them but can’t remember what apps I used!

This one I took with one of the Camera apps and I then did a lot of blending with Iris :

Walking from Richmond to Ham you pass a rowing club.  These rowing boats were stacked up so I took photo with Hipstamatic (Watts Lens, Dreamcanvas Film).  Processed photo with AutoPainterII then some more effects and blending with Iris.

Start Again!

Trying to get this blog organised and I do prefer to create posts using Windows Live Writer.  My London Hipstamatic photos were a bit messy and dark so I have edited them all using Camera+ and ran them through the Clarity Filter.  These were all taken with Hipstamatic – the yellowy funky ones I used the Dali Lens and the others with Watts Lens.  Used DreamCanvas Film with all of them.
Big Ben – I do love the effects the Dali produces!
